It is with great sadness that we were informed that on Saturday, October 31, 2020, the last issue of the newspaper “Fileleftheros” will be published, as the newspaper announced its closure. A newspaper that helped significantly in the creation of a wide liberal publishing legacy in our country. All of us at KEFiM warmly thank Fileleftheros and it’s people for our collaboration.
Especially we want to thank Fileleftheros for the two years publishing collaboration with KEFiM (2019-2020) thanks to which a great liberal project was made a reality, offering to the Greek public during these two years a total of 52 liberal books, most of which were translated into Greek for the first time.
The “Library of Liberty” has highlighted through its series of books authors of historical significance and founders of liberal thought, such as Friedrich Hayek, John Stuart Mill, Ludwig von Mises, Frederic Bastiat, Carl Menger, and many more, as well as younger thinkers and writers who today actively contribute to shaping liberal thought such as Leonard E. Read, Eamonn Butler, et al.
The outcome of this effort is undoubtedly positive, as with the support of the public we managed to exceed 100,000 copies of liberal books sales.
We thank all the readers who supported this project, but also the newspaper for giving space to the liberal ideas to flourish and spread through texts of timeless value.
