CALL FOR PAPERS/PRESENTATIONS
The conference themes, Economic Freedom and Democratic Resilience in the Post Covid Era, will be the focus of our discussion. Papers and/or presentations are invited on these topics, but papers/presentations on any topic related to the nature, measurement, causes, and consequences of economic freedom will be considered. Titles and abstracts should be submitted to Fred McMahon at fred.mcmahon@fraserinstitute.org by DATE.

CONFERENCE LOCATION
This year’s Economic Freedom of the World Network meeting will be hosted by the Center for Liberal Studies (KEFiM) in Athens, Greece. (See www.kefim.org)
The meeting will be held both days in the Hellenic American Union 1.4 miles away from the meeting hotel.
COVID PRECAUTIONS
As the pandemic regulations change in Greece weekly, and with mandatory proof of vaccination and masks indoors, we will be able to inform you of the latest COVID instructions a week before the event. Kindly find a useful government link with frequent questions and answers for tourists visiting Greece for now and for the future.
COSTS
As in past years, we unfortunately are unable to provide travel subsidies. Attendees will be responsible for their own travel costs, hotel, and registration fee.
GETTING THERE
Landing to ATH ( Athens International Airport- Eleftherios Venizelos) you may get to Niche Hotel with the below ways:
HOTEL
The host hotel is Niche Hotel Athens Acropolis, which is located 1.4 M from the Hellenic American Union (meeting location) and is 15 minutes by car. Transportation will be provided to the meeting, dinner, and reception.
To book the special hotel rate, please visit this link to get your special rate. The deadline for reservations is July 30 2022. The special rate will be available 7/9 – 7/12 in case you want to stay longer.
If reserving via telephone, call +30 2160 700 500 and ask for the KEFiM room block rate. As October is an extremely busy month for Athens, we strongly recommend you to not exceed the deadline for booking your accommodation.
Flexible standard rate per night/per room (incl. breakfast, taxes & internet access): 145€ (double room for double use) + 3€ accommodation government tax/per night/per room.
Amenities of the hotel also include a Gym and a Spa.
Cancelation: The deadline for cancellation of your reservation will be July 31,2022
VISITOR VISA
Each participant is responsible for determining if they need a visa and obtaining one if required. If you need a letter of invitation, contact fred.mcmahon@fraserinstitute.org after registering for the conference.

PARTICIPATION IN OPTIONAL MEETING ACTIVITIES
Visit Ancient Agora of Athens guided tour| October 12 – Ticket cost 10€ paid on entry.
Tour Guide Standard Fare is 200€ for Maximum group of 30. The following optional lunch after the tour will be walking distance from the site. For the above activity should you decide to participate kindly RSVP by September 10 in order for KEFiM to make the necessary reservations for you. Kindly note that the above activity is not included in the registration fee.
OTHER INFORMATION
The dress code is business casual.
The temperatures in Athens in October are comfortable with low of 62°F and high up to 71°F. You can expect rain for roughly the second half of the month but there is still a chance for rain.
